Notes About The Cross

Jesus Christ and what he did for us at the Cross is the Answer, the Solution, and in fact, the Only answer.

The PURPOSE  of the incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ was to go to the Cross for the Redemption of humanity.

Jesus surely set the example for how we should live on earth, but the end purpose was always the Cross. In fact, Jesus is the supreme example of unselfishness and humility. Paul says to let this mind of Christ be in you.

My thoughts, desires, and motives should be the same thoughts, desires, and motives which filled the heart of Jesus.

It must be my number 1 priority in life to strive towards an imitation of Jesus Christ — Both outward and in my Inner Most self and thoughts.

My problem as a human is that this is virtually impossible without understanding, and relying on what Jesus did (for me) at the Cross.

  • Everything pre Christ strained towards the Cross
  • Everything since the Cross strains FROM the Cross

The purpose of the Great Plan of God as it regarded the Redemption of fallen humanity was always the Cross!

Gen. 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

I Peter 1:19-20

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Rev 13:8

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Jesus substituted Himself for me.

Due to the fall, all men are under condemnation, are sinners, and have no escape nor recourse.

Were it not for Jesus Christ substituting Himself and payed the complete price for all humanity who will accept it as a free gift in the Holy name of Jesus Christ.

“He redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse” in Galatians 3:13

When Christ bore my sin, He bore my penalty. And the penalty has always been death!
