He is your savior right this moment and for all eternity.
Your only job is to believe and to “give” to Him actually being the Lord of your life. You are a soldier who serves the almighty God because of and throught Jesus Christ. The more you learn to “give into” this, the more Holy Spirit of God Almighty will lead and direct your paths and your life.
It’s not about percection, because the Bible says there is none perfect. It’s not about trying to will yourself into being good, because you can’t. However, the more you come to grips with what Jesus did on the Cross, the more the Holy Spirit of God will santify you, and make you a better person.
